Back in the day, my brother, and I would hop
on a Port Authority bus from the city into
New Jersey to check out wrestling at the
(then) Meadowlands Arena (now Continental Arena).
It was always a thrill when the 'enemy' came to town,
in this case, the NWA, the National Wrestling Alliance.
They were the good ole boys from the south who came uptown
to challenge the (then) WWF, World Wrestling Federation.
Above, from the bleechers, you can see the greatest himself,
the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair...Whoooooooooo!!!
Tech Note: I shot this image using what I later came to know as
a super "el cheapo" telephoto zoom lens, a Zykkor 70-210mm. As a kid,
a lens was, well, a freakin' lens! But even then, I tried to make the
most of my equipment. I do not remember the film for this image. Ah, such
is technical information in the film era.
