The highlight of my day was going flying with my son, Richard. He is a plane captain for the Cutlass RG at the Yellow Jacket Flying Club. They put a new engine in the airplane and upgraded with a 4 point EGT/CHT sensor. He needed a maintenance flight to go get some data about leaning the engine with the new analyzer, and I volunteered to take data. We had a great flight and got some really useful data which he is going to use to set up leaning procedures. We also confirmed that the cold cylinder (#2) came in line as you leaned it out. Having a cold or hot cylinder is par for the course with normally aspirated engines.
