Shadow, aptly named because she is the smallest and timidest of the remaining 3 babies that are being cared for by Momma Kitty and always followed very cautiously behind of the other two kitties. She was the last to come out of hiding when I came in the room and was very clever in finding almost impossible-to-find places for hiding. When the kitties are sleeping in their cat bed, she is always in the far back with the other kitties in front to protect her. In the last couple days, she has started to trust me and approaches me when I am sitting on the floor with Momma Kitty and allows me to touch her and pick her up without hissing. While she is timid, at the same time she is very sassy in her play with the other kitties and can hold her own quite well. She was the first one to attempt to climb the 7 ft palm tree in the room, which was quite a badge of courage. And, what more can I say about those eyes? She is a real beauty.
