In the lowland portion of Falls Trail you have a choice to make halfway to the falls. You can take the moderate route which takes you away from the creek or you can take the path marked difficult and travel along Kitchen Creek itself right to the base of the first waterfall. This is probably my favorite place on the lower section of Falls Trail.
