The passageway into the small boat harbor is about 5 meters wide. In 1972 a local guy my age challenged me to jump it, which I did with space to spare....some 21 years later I sat on the post at the right of the photo and was approached by a couple of 12 year olds. "In this town you're not a man until you can jump the prolaz," said one of the little smart-asses. There I sat. Fat, slow, dim-witted, brain addled by alcohol and television. "You're too late kid," I said. "I jumped it with a meter to spare."
