I was Hiking with my friend Chuck Jewell on our way towards Dan Beard Camp on Philmont Scout ranch from Ring Place Camp near the Valle Vidal (Vermejo Park Ranch) close to Kit Carson National Forest, New Mexico. It had taken us most of the day and we sat down to take a rest. I was glad to have packed my Dad's old Canon AE-1 Program 35mm camera. The setting sun lit up the sky gorgeously and gave a really beautiful back light to a grand old oak tree. I snapped the shot hand held on Program mode to good effect. Reminds me of the beauty of that landscape in northern New Mexico.
