Inside the Aya Sofia

You can see the obvious reconstruction and preservation work. But you can also see Byzatine mosaics and Islamic caligraphy. The Aya Sofia started as a Church, it was converted to a Mosque, then in 1934 Ataturk declared the impressive building a museum.
