While surfing the web for Corel Painter IX tutorials I came across this one: http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/?m=show&opt=printable&id=155 and decided to give it a try. I think I posted a link to it on digipets a few days ago. After the clone painting is finished in Painter IX it is saved and opened up in Photsohop for finishing with a duplicate layer and high pass filtration, followed by an overlay blend mode and adjustment of opacity.
