Olgas and Gum

Olgas, Red Centre, Australia.

The Olgas are a sacred place to the aborigine. I found it to be an absolutely mesmerisingly beautiful place with blood red sandstone and lazer blue skys interrupted by the occasional cloud and complementary green foliage of the gum trees.

Ian , I have stood in this same area on quite a few occassions .This late afternoon light is outstanding. You have really captured it well .In the earlier times I could camp in the sandhills around Kata Juta ( Olgas) .Never in the range because of respect for the feelings of the first Australians
