Purgatory Flats

Somewhere in the sky

These images were captured flying from Houston to Philadelphia. I was afraid I was not going to get them. I only had my 85mm f1.8 and did not think it would be wide enough. These were such striking images, almost other wordly. Reminded me of a world on fire.

the layers of different colours and tones are great, well composed and a great lens to shoot it with (just re-purchased one myself!). The shadows of the clouds in many of the shots here add real drama and atmosphere.
