Jim Tomes is a friend and was a client. I worked with his firm for almost 15 years, starting back in the days when he had recently graduated from Brown University. Now, at age 40, he Chairman of the Board of Telgian, a Fire and Life Safety and Loss Control firm, which is a merger of TVA (Tomes, Van Rickley and Associates) and the Fire Materials Group.
They are growing rapidly and are doing well with offices across this country and in Europe. When I started with them, there were 15 employees and a gross of $450,000. Now they are grossing well in excess of 50 million dollars and have several hundred employees.
Jim’s knowledge, leadership, and core values are major reasons for the Company’s success.
Photographically, I couldn’t get the long lens to focus on both him and the company logo. So I trimmed him and moved him over to a longer shot of the façade. (See below)
