Holy Trinity Eggeleston

In the grounds of Eggleston Hall.
The roof was removed when the new church was built in 1868.
The rose growing along the left hand wall was a mature plant then.
Still growing strong.

The new church? In 1868?
Great shot Johnny. Like the stone and shadow.

Beautiful work.

So.. what's the reason it was removed? Or should I ask?

Wonder if it was lead.
I like the little path curving off into the distance.
