OK . . I remembered what the online photo class said (thanks Subrata)
And this is the outcome of blurring the b/g so that only the flower is in focus

I agree . . . the blurring DID make a difference

LOL - we planted two passionflowers in our back garden. YOU were the reason when I first saw them in the Garden centre I remembered them!! (they're coming along nicely too!)
