Thanks, Lonnit. I am pretty much clueless when it comes to HDR, except that I do know what it stands for and so on. Any suggested links on the web to begin reading a bit more on this subject? Thannks and regards ~jnconradie
Nico, this day of shooting was inspired by an architectural photog who lectured at my camera club 3 days prior to this shot. He was heavy into HDR imaging. I didn't realize at the time that it was HDR that gave the utopian look to the images - everything looked so clean and perfect, and somewhat rendered. After seeing his work that night, I was aching to immediately run to Manhattan to shoot! This was one of them I came back with. It's not HDR, but it does have a utopian, rendered look as well. Next time I go into The City, I'll have to shoot for HDR. Thanks for commenting. :) ~ Lonnit
Your "super-saturated" colour scheme makes me think of some drawing, perhaps an illustration, for an urban or futuristic storybook... sort of light-hearted and fun as well. Regards ~jnconradie
You have barrel distortion, which, of course, is expected for that lens. However, it appears not to be centered. Did you crop the picture in order to curve the building straight ahead? -- Victor
