This is the exhaust side of the turbo. Those three studs slide into the elbow in the last picture. The exhaust turbine is inside on the bottom, and in on the top is the wastegate port. The wastegate opens around 4# to let exhaust gasses escape. The bar holding the assembly up is the turbo support bracket that mounts to the block.
