Tripods are MANDITORY for landscape photography. I gave into that a LONG time ago....and carry it with me everywhere I go. I had to wade in waste high water to the sandstone outcropping in the middle of the stream. I wanted the higher shutter speed to make for a sharper reflection.

Thanks!!

I am amazed that more photogs try to take these scenes without a good tripod setup. Abvious to me by your shutter speed and F22 stops that the difference in these shots a tripod does make! I now have my third generation Nikon DLSR and I too have had some pretty miserable failures with both the D100 and the D200 trying to handhold the camera. (exposures are and issue with Nikon) The tripod makes all the differance. Tripod usage is a lot more work, and requires a dedication to carrying the hardware around. Even Ansel adams used to pack his large format cameras into the hills on the back of a mule. This is what I feel like after several hours in the field. But the shots are worth it! Great work!

Beautiful shot Roman. Again you amaze me with your ability to capture color and clarity with this camera. Here I sit daily wondering if the D70s was the wrong choice due to the underexposing and then you prove what a professional artist can do with it! I have much to learn. Perhaps you have to start teaching, especially in usage of light and post processing.

Again, great job. This one I voted for!
