goodbye nippon 23-06-2006

Another great day in Dortmund when Brazil beat Japan.
Fantastic atmosphere and nearly everyone enjoyed that Australia and Ghana made it too.

Concerning this pic: It´s a pity that I couldn´t capture her laughing when I showed her the pic, telling her I´m sorry for that.
Well of course I wasn´t really.

More pics from yesterday´s party see down below.

What I almost forgot to mention. Great image - a Japanese with football nose and German and Japannese flags on the cheeks eating Kebab, what could symbolize the international enthusiasm for football better (Thank god, there were not any ugly nationalistic incidents during the championship so far). My wife and my sons were very sad to see Japan lose that game. They did so well in the first 45 minutes that for some time one could hope that they would really make it. But unfortunately, the Japanese team often has the tendency to forget that a game lasts as long as the referee wants, but at least 45 minutes per half. 3 goals against Australia in the last seven minutes, and now again a goal with less that ten seconds to go- that must not happen to a really good team.... Well, in the end, Australia deserved more to stay in the competition - they did a heroic job against Croatia.
