Lilioceris Lilii - Lily Beetle

Lilioceris Lilii - Lily Beetle

Lily beetles arrived in Britain on imported flowers in the early 1900's. They are similar in appearance to cardinal beetles, however, they have a much more rounded body, and the wing cases are covered in tiny dimples. They are a pest of lily plants.
