This poor spider was actually being carried off by a wasp.
Apparently it was a bit too heavy and was abandoned.
Unfortunately the spider had already been stung and was in a state of paralysis and never recovered.
It wasn't dead, it just couldn't move. Needless to say it did eventually die.
