I would think some of those deformations came from moving it from it original place, i am sure they were not as gentle taking it out as they could have been, also it is not a very large span on that part of the river. It is 131 feet long by 14 feet wide and built in 1940

Amazingly light duty construction for a bridge over the San Gabriel. The chord and bar stock is thin, and the gussets are small. The supports appear to be angle iron and battons. If you look closely you will see subtle deformation all over the structure.
