All's well that ends well Patrick.
Sadly, experiences like that are part of driving.
Just hope that they are few and far between.

I believe there is an alleyway directly behind that red car which continues behind the houses on the other side of the street. I was driving towards the High Street about 15-20 years ago and a kid on a bicycle absolutely flew out right in front of me. He didn't even bother to look to see if the road was clear and I skidded to a halt while he rode on. I'll never forget how I could have badly hurt him (at best) if I hadn't braked as hard as I did. Oh, lovely memories (NOT) brought back to me by this photo! :)

hi ive been up and down this street my sister lives in sheernes i live up in scotland
It certainly is Maple Street Trevor, I got to the Island for a quick visit, first time in about ten years. Driving around Sheerness was a challenge, are all those traffic changes really necessary ?
It was really great to see the rest of the Island, which apart from new housing developments has not changed too much.
