My black velvet painting is made from scratch, I purchase a yard of velvet, put together a frame and stretch the velvet on the frame then use thumb tack to hold it on to the fram. I use regular craft acrylics for the painting. Everything in black is velvet fabric. This painting currently hangs in my son's room which is decorated with in a Raider theme.
