Micheal,
Thanks again for your comments. I looked at it from work and I am not happy with the image. My monitor at home is not very good. Will refine and upload a new version from work.

Lee, yes, I think the eyes are clearer now and that was my main goal since they are such beautiful and expressive eyes. I also feel like I'm seeing more detail on the shadowed left side of the face which I really lke. Dunno if that's because of the adjustment you made or if I'm just seeing better this time around :-) -Michael
Thanks for the kind words and suggestions. I only have Elements and not able to do all of your suggestions. I think you were right on the haze of the eyes. Let me know if this one works better.
Thanks,
Lee

I really like the deeply pensive mood of this portrait, the eyes being quite remarkable. It's a wonderful capture, Lee.
For me, the natural light is so strong that it gives a bit of haze to the eyes which I would try to minimize. I tried duplicating the background layer and making a selective color adjustment, increasing the black just a little in the neutrals and blacks, then masked out the right side and lower corner 100% back to the original layer to keep all of the fine hair detail in those dark areas. Made this dramatic image even a bit more so, IMHO. -Michael
