It's Official! - 5 Weeks

Yes, I'm pregnant! We just found out last night, and we're very excited.
We've called family and friends and told them the good news. My uncle was the only one who said "How'd that happen?"
We called Slug's mom and said "Hey Grandma!" when she answered the phone. I had expected excitement, but she just told us we had the wrong number. Then, she realized it was us.
Now, I've got a million questions running through my mind. Will it be a boy or a girl? What will we name it? Will we be good parents? and of course... how do I go about hiring one of these "Genies" to change the diapers?
Oh well, I guess we've got a while to figure things out.

Emily and Slug, congratulations from me too. I hope you enjoy all the high points that parenthood can bring your way, but don't forget to make the most of your 'free' time until then! :^)

HEY congratulations. Even after seven kids, I can still remember the excitement of the first time. Take lots of pictures of everything. Start a pblog! Do get your sleep now, very good advice. Cool how these tests have evolved. With my first you had to have blood drawn at the doctors and wait a couple of days (poor rabbit) and the blue-pin-yellow sticks didn't come out till much later. Now they have text!! Kathie

Emily - Congratulations! But...get your sleep now, because life is over as you know it once baby Slug comes into the world!
