The Flute Player.... * Traveller

...even in the hot fetid jungle night, the leader of the band, as a sign of his seriousness and leadership, insisted on wearing his long legged, Baggy Blue Jeans.

You're absolutely correct in that. If you're going to do something, you've got to commit to it fully, or it won't work, or worse, look like a mistake. ~ Lonnit

I would like people to know that I've gone back and tried to make this a little less over the top, a little less surreal. However, even with a 70% de-sat of the girl...it's still over the top...it's just a weird image and if its going to be over the top, I might as well go all the way. Best Wishes, Traveller

Again, who cares about the challenge when looking at this image? I could make some criticisms here, but there comes a point in an image where it doesn't matter what flaws are there, or what artistic decisions the photographer made. What matters is the story it tells. There are stories, deep stories, in each individual's face. The sense of this image is palpable. The looks on the faces... OH! They are together yet so alone. This is prime photojournalism! Of all the irony, after all my commentary on the king of blue jeans, we have this image. There has never been an image presented in any challenge that has come near this level of quality storytelling. The faces are all soooo compelling! I love the way they look at eachother, or look away, or look into themselves. The moment of capture is flawless! Even the statue is having a hard time bearin it all. Can you tell us more about this? Consider yourself standing ovated. :) Bravo, bravo, bravo!!! ~ Lonnit
