April 21st - Living Downtown

I stopped downtown on my way home tonight and wandered around taking shots in the evening sun.
While I was drifting about I noticed a couple of people sitting out front of the Decatur Hotel across the street.
I made my way across and struck up a conversation and then brought up the question of taking their picture.
They were amenable, so I started shooting I got quite a few pictures and culled them down to the ones below.
At the end, the woman said, "Hey weren't you gonna give a couple bucks?"
I hadn't mentioned anything about money, but what the hell, they put up with me.
I handed them a bill and told them to split it between them and wished them well....

Now, instead of just looking at the thumbnails, actually click these and go look, ok?

Nice series of shots. The b&w strengthens the image and gives it a new point of view. Like the detail and processing within the shot as well. -v-

Just a flat out great series. Most of the time, I'm to shy do that.
Well done.

Very nice gallery of shots. Always an interesting part of town, eh. Lots of character.
