Very interesting to see those old pictures of NYC, Phil. The city and those skycrapers are stunning and also pressing. When i place it b&w, i didn't think it bears the resemblance of the old ones, but simply for the sake of good looking. So is there a general belief to follow when applying color, b&w, or sepia tint to an image?
Your black and white skyscraper forms are reminiscent of the 1930s images of Berenice Abbott's "Changing New York, 1935-1938." Look at these images and tell me what the similarities are, Xin.
