The Gym
Fremiet

I am putting up a new building at my school which consists of a Black Box theater, a Gym/Auditorium, an office/photo studio for me, triple our current art space and a library. Completion date June 15th. This is a shot of the roof trusses being laid in the gym. To give a better sense of the space I did a circular enlargement of the center 3/5ths of the picture (that part contained inside the "circle") the normal perspective can be seen at the corners of the pic. The walls are constructed of AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) which is very "green" and has phenomenal sound and thermal insulation properties. F

It is interesting that you choose to take a picture of an unborn building. I didn’t thought about it when I choose the theme and that is why this picture has agreeably surprised me.

I love all the lines in this picture (the roof structure, the bricks, the elevator, the scaffold(I am not sure if it is the right English word pour “échafaud” in French, I used Babel Fish translator for this one…)) and I also like the strange perspective produced by your ball-effect. This effect sucks us into the picture!

Should be cool to take this one with a fisheye lens, I think.
