Metairie, Louisiana

Am beginning to think it would have been easier to build a new house. We are going into the seventh month of reconstruction. More lumber, more labor, more money. Just for the record, our homeowners insurance company has offered us $114.00,(one hundred and fourteen dollars).
We figure that we'll have all our floors, walls, furniture and gardens back together by June 1, the day that hurricane season begins anew. Frankly, I have had enough of it all.

Hang in there. I've been through a few hurricanes, but obviously nothing like Katrina. $114--unbelievable. This isn't a natural disaster so much as a man-made disaster--someone should be held accountable. The Feds should fess up...

I cannot even imagine your frustration. $114...good grief. I hope those lovely flowers outside cheer you up.

Hello Coleen; I can tell, you have a beautiful house the tile you have is identical in color to the tile in our house and I see a lot of baseboard waiting to go down. And I love that leather couch, you've got very beautiful. Just for fun. I'll send you a picture of our cat sitting on the tile I'm talking about. Your friend Al
