Fast and furious by Richard B

Saxonville, Massachusetts

Been a pretty wet Winter, plenty of water in the rivers.

Bob, thanks for your comments. I framed the shot around the most dramatic part of the fall in the hope of keeping in with the speed theme. The streaking in the water is a mixture of the natural water color and the evening light. (Most of the rivers in Eastern Massachusetts are near black in Winter and and a muddy green in Summer.)
Richard.

Richard -
I really like how you've captured the water - the smoothness and streaking works really well and the finer lines of the spray at the bottom add a nice element.
For me, there's something that feels 'confining' with the crop and/or framing...I guess the water looks free and powerful but imprisoned by the somewhat tight vertical framing (hope this makes sense - in any case, just my opinion). I'd almost like to see just the upper 40%.
I've got to practice shooting falls - love the effect.
