looks like a Flicker to me. We have lots of them. Your gallery doesn't name a Flicker to compare. BTW, where's the red belly?

Isn’t this a northern flicker?

this site wasn't useful Looking for a wild bird size of a bluejay has a red spot on head and black bib and rest is blackish grey and white This bird is not a woodpecker as I know what they look like have never seen these before and there are 4 of them They love my bird feeder.

This is indeed a Red-bellied Woodpecker. We have one come everyday to our feeder. Beautiful bird although it's belly is not red. Why it is named that, I do not know.

Thank you for your comment Scott, I looked into this and I do still believe that this bird is a Red Bellied Woodpecker. The Yellow Shafted Flicker has black spots on its breast as seen in the picture at this linkhttp://photography.nationalgeographic.com/wallpaper/photography/photos/life-color-yellow/yellow-bird-quinton/

I think the bird you are calling a red bellied woodpecker is actually a yellow shafted flicker?
