This image was made using the High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature in Photoshop CS2. Six images were made in the camera from light to dark by manually adjusting the shutter speed about a stop between each exposure. The first exposure made was light enough to show all the detail in the dark shadows. In the last exposure the rocks were almost black and the sky close to what you see here. The camera was on a tripod of course. When the HDR feature was used, the 32 bit option was chosen so as not to clip the images being merged. The original RAW files were uploaded into Photoshop from "RawShooter 2006" with no adjustments in RawShooter. After the file was merged, the file was converted to a 16 bit file. Adjustments were made at this time as well as sharpening. The image for pbase was reduced to an 8 bit file and the hight and dpi reduced to 9" and 100 respectively. This image looks better on my CRT monitor than on my flat monitor, which has too much contrast.
