Columbus Blue Jackets' forward Nikolai Zherdev (13) is slashed across the ankle on an attempted breakaway by Christian Ehrhoff of the San Jose Sharks in the second period of an NHL game. Ehrhoff poked the puck away, but injured his goalie, Evgeni Nabokov, when Ehrhoff slid into him after the play. Ehrhoff was also called for slashing. Columbus won, 4-1.
