Let the Light Shine In by Stephen Murphy

St Peters Church , Queenstown, New Zealand

I love the way the light changes intensity as it shines through each individual pane of glass.

This photo has a special significance for me as it is one of my earliest digital photos. It is still one of my favourites. I took the photo with very little knowledge and skill - it was an impromptu , spur of the moment shot by a novice photographer. Because of this photo I was encouraged to take my hobby more seriously and invest in a better camera - a Sony F828.

The church was deserted at the time too which is unusual as it is a popular tourist spot in Queenstown. I am very lucky to still have this photo as my computer crashed last year so it gives me great pleasure to share this photo with you all.

Keep shining

Steve

I've been to Queenstown but unfortunately missed this. Lovely light and soft colors. Great shot. Helen

Steve. I like the soft colours and the light and the symmetry, and glad you shared with us. Jesus
