Fall 2005 Steven Noyes

Colorado : Ophir Canyon : Chapman Gulch Spring

Ophir Canyon, CO

There is water springing from all of the hillsides and mountains in this area. Just above Ophir, Colorado, this small spring falls rapidly down the hillside. Taken in the very early morning, the light is just breaking through the heavyish overcast and illuminating the distant mountain top.

I took this withe the 35mm and kinda wish I had done this as another 3 image 18MP stitch with the 45mm...

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Thanks for the kind words. I will have to check on the Jim Noyes connection. We have many relatives in the area but mostly on my mothers side. My fathers side, however, does have a stronger than normal showing.

Most nice, moody, as is that valley: once saw 6 rainbows there at one time. Do you know that there's a fellow buried in the cemetary of Old Ophir by the name of Jim Noyes. Quite a man. Any relation to you? Besties- Roy out in Western Colorado
