driven to drink

This was taken at the University of Kentucky vs. Florida football game on
Saturday, September 25th. The fans have been driven to drink in a supposedly
dry stadium. The score at halftime was FL 49 and KY 7. About half of the
fans left during the halftime intermission. I stayed to the bitter end.
Our first string did manage to score some points in the second half against their scrubs.

You can't take bottles or booze in at this stadium either, bit apparently some people sneak by. It was beastly hot Saturday and we were allowed to bring unopened bottles of water as in the past they have occasionally run out of bottled water. They even check your bags, but not very carefully.--Rene

Can't take containers into sports grounds in this country, and alcohol is absolutely forbidden. No matter how bad your team plays, it's better to watch them sober!

Looks like not even this elixir could cure what ails these fans.

The excitement of scoring first did not last long :( I'm guessing the contents of that flask came from Bardstown ;)

Ah Ha... a little anesthesia soothes many wounds. I am glad that you stayed. Those kids needs moral support, win or lose.
