Tonight I wanted to do the Roanoke Star in a different way that no one else has done before. Well I am sure someone has done this perspective before but I have not seen any published work of the star from this angle. I think the tree helps to frame it nicely.

The Roanoke Star is local icon of steel and neon and is visited and photographed by nearly all travlers to Roanoke, VA.

The Roanoke Star's overlook provides great panoramic views of the city and when the time of year is right the sun set is in full view. Late summer and winter it goes out of view from the overlook.
