Man, those are my two buddies I laid in the sun with, we all rode bikes and ran around together. Kevin lived steps away from me off the boardwalk.

I was friends with Kevin from the summer of '82 on.
The first day I met him, he came up to me on the beach and said "he just couldn't stand it any more" watching me to try to body surf. We didn't have much of a swell in the cornfields of Nebraska where I grew up! I became a decent body sufer and I can only thank mr K for that. I meet Eric at about that time...both of them beautiful men. I talked to Kevin two nights before they found him dead. He had called me to tell me about the boarding accident...and asked me if he should finally give it up. I told him it was decision...but I wouldn't. I miss him more as the years go by. I have not returned to the beach following the summer after his death when I went but 1 time. It just wasn't the same. Sleep well in Grass Valley.
