This is "Mad Jack", a Korean War Vet who served with Amy's dad.
Jack was blown from a tank after hitting a land mine and Amy's dad
left his tank to save him. Everyone else was killed.
Jack and Amy's dad became life long friends and when we decided
to go to Portland for a family vacation, we looked up "Mad Jack"
because he lives in Portland.
We had breakfast and left Jack with several photos from Amy's
Dad's funeral. Jack is unable to travel long distances.
It was great to meet this fine man who served our country so bravely in Korea.
My hat's off to all those men who gave of themselves so we can be free.
We can never do enough for them.
