July 2: Report from Iraq

Colorado Springs, CO

This young man is my nephew Bruce Finley (43) who is a international affairs writer for The Denver Post,. He has reported from 30 countries and has made three trips to Iraq. He filed dispatches from seven Arab countries after the Sept. 11 attacks, and has reported from the Pakistan-Afghanistan borderlands, Uzbekistan and Turkey.

Last night he was questioned by several Colorado College Professors (all emeriti) and their wives about his most recent trip to Iraq in April. We were spellbound for two hours stewing over what he has reported and the situation there.

On a lighter note, **this gal ** just in from Paris stole my heart.

yes, I would imagine he would have some very very interesting things to say. Things that wouldn't otherwise hear about. I would be interested to get his take on the situation.

Very nice portrait. I am sure he did not tell it all; some things just cannot be repeated when you have experienced it yourself--it is too painful or best shut away.
