I got the call from PC World. My laptop is back from the repair shop and is now working perfectly. I asked them what was wrong with it - as you would if you genuinely didn't know - and was surprised to be told that the keyboard panel had been displaced and needed to be reset. Jings, crivvens and michty me! I thought (in my best Oor Wullie pseudo-Dundonian). It must have been very strong coffee. I was still rehearsing my demeanour on the way, as I half expected them to greet me with the words 'Do you think we're daft? Coffee spillages aren't covered by the warranty. That'll be £200, please'. Luckily they didn't - they even apologised for taking so long to repair such a minor thing, and for making me wait 15 minutes while they located the misplaced power cable and restore disks. I was so happy that I merrily ran an errand for Linda - for four garden chairs out of B&Q (green resin at £3.49 each). Back at the house, I busily got myself ensconsed in the Old Potting Shed, where I am all set up with my laptop, a radio, a desklamp and a fan. The windows have been re-puttied and frames primed in readiness for painting. Next week I will begin putting in the electrical circuits in readiness for connection to the supply - the overhead feed is there, it just needs to be linked up, and that's something an electrician can do in a few minutes. The weather has been absolutely glorious today, so my determination to work was sorely tested. Yet I managed it, despite Linda's mum being up for her supper (the new barbecue is being put to very good use!). Our lawyer contacted us to reassure us about matters access and neighbour related, and to tell us that he didn't want the money just yet - so we get to pretend that we are not broke for another few days. Nothing for it I suppose, we'll just have to win the lottery this week!

My Mundane Monday idea really caught on...not!

This definitely fits your word for the day. Lovely old structure in its last days. Entropy will win. The b/w tones are superb. Glad to hear your laptop is well.

Nice study in texture and tone. Why do you need garden chairs, can't you find a bucket Wullie.

This is a beautifully done black and white.
