RubySpot *

This is my first ever entry into a contest and I just received my first nice camera about a week ago. I tend to be gravitating toward a lot of macro shooting, so I suppose this would be my signature style (so far). Thanks!

Thanks guys! Now I wish I could've added some fill flash, but I was a good 15 feet from this guy. LOL, I went out to shoot the waterfalls, and this was my favorite picture of the bunch. I couldn't get closer to this guy because he was on the ledge of the waterfall and there was water separating us...

I wish Wish WISH I would've gotten the rest of his shadow in the picture. I think that would've made for a really great shot.

Let me add "I love the red!" to Rods comments. Welcome Dan! Great start in the challenge! Shu

That's a great start Dan & nice to see you here. Not an easy shot to get with the backlighting on the subject & as Humberto said a fill flash would have worked well. But it's a good shot all the same with the light showing the wings up & creating a good shadow. Well done mate:-)

Nice image, the damsel (or whatever it is) seems to be loking at the small bug on the right side. * To make an image like this better, you might want to try some fill flash.
