Our casa rural is El Patio de Tita — the pink building center left, just to the left of the big, lush banana plantation through which we were allowed to wander at will. The casas rurales were exactly what we'd hoped they'd be -- small, pleasantly restored private homes at the same price as an inexpensive hotel room.
