what a beautiful image. many years ago i had wanted to do infrared, but never made it. You have just whetted my appetite for a digital camera!

Howie, Thanks for responding to my question, and for your expertise answer. These infrared photos of yours are amazing! This one looks magical, mystical, almost...beautiful! I am new to all of this. Just got my first computer, have never used any art programs on it yet. When I get this 7i, I'll have alot to learn! My college degree was in art...my medium was blk/wht photography (tens yrs. ago). I loved the darkroom, but in my small apt. here in NYC, no room, no adequate ventilation, so I figured I'd go digital. It has been yrs. since I've even used the camera, so starting fresh!
