- 20th Feb 2005 - Grandad Pipe

Out for lunch with Grandad Pipe... no prizes for
where that tag came from. The Sportsman's Arms
near Marple. Nice roast dinner and choccie pudding.
(I know.... swimming and cycling start next week)

Really struggled over which image to PaD. Even managed
one of Helen without her hand in shot. Not sure putting so many
mini's is quite in the rules - but there we go!!

So you decide:

That's Helen with her new camera - no photos for publication yet though.

Nikon Coolpix 8800

I like the one you've chosen, although the concentration on Grandad Pipe's face playing uno makes a great picture too

They're all excellent. I choose them all (but the main one is a little special, isn't it!).

Nice shot Ian, he looks quite young for a Grandad Pipe !

I like this... excellent framing. I like that you got just a bit of the pipe... adds character. Nice DOF

Great portrait shot with excellent composition and flesh tones. I like the little part of the pipe showing.

That’s a striking image. Just a part of the pipe says enough.

Nice set of shots Ian, my choice would also have been the one you picked.

It looks like a candid. If not it is very well posed, looks very natural.

Great pics! Hope you stopped to eat your dinner!

The b&w of Chris is my favourite :)

Very nice portrait. the other photos are impressive as well.

Nice portrait. I think this is the best one

Looks like a old, traditional pub (from one of the other photos).

I like the minis too, heheh. You have to have a 'certain something' to carry off the pipe, and he has it.
