- 11th Feb 2005 - Ploughed

Very grey, and now very wet.
Had to pick up number 1 son to take
him to the garage. This is the field
just across from our house. Huge tractor and plough
did the business today (contractors). It looked
great from upstairs! But the reflections
and patterns aren't there from closer too!
However it's the PaD, and I'll follow
the crop (whatever it is!) as it emerges.

Camera wouldn't respond at first - had to take out
the battery to get it going.... bit worrying!

See ya tomorrow....

ps thanks for the comments on the PaDs so far!
Makes me feel part of the PaD family already :)

Reminds me of that really sticky mud which keeps accumulating on your boots until you feel like a deep sea diver.

Very muddy!

Nice to see a freshly plowed field.
Its snowing here today and about -8 C.

Very rich earth. I imagine whatever they grow will do very well. My camera has done weird things and then kept working. And it's three years old and thousands of photos and exposure to extreme conditions.

Dis-gusting! I'm just imagining it being tracked thru my house, and me having to clean it up ... But great shot, Ian!!!

I hope you didn't track that stuff into the house Ian. But it smells like good solid dirt.

Gee at first I thought it was a fresh new spread of manure here. Our fields won't be plowed for quite sometime yet.

Looks like rich soil! Like the patterns in the soil!

This reminds me of the mud field my brother and I used to play in. We were these heroic soldiers which had to survive in the cold weather. Mom, really did not like that mud very much when we brought it home on our shoes. NIce catch.

You can almost fell the smell of moist new ploughed soil from that picture! Great. You seem to have the country around you. Ma city man have to hunt down the few bits and pieces that still are around. I envy you!

Ploughed fields make for great geometric pictures. Look forward to seeing the monthly (?) series of pictures as the crops grow...

That's a nice view you have from your house. Will be good to see it change over the seasons.
