Savannah is not as quiet as in John Berendt's book, partly due to the swarm of tourists who read
the book. In the Market Square, more international merchadise can be seen than the antique furniture.
That is not surprising. A city, with charming neighborhood, only shows a small part of her above
the surface to the most sighseers. We go to Riverside, 21 squares, and the fountain, the story in
the book may still happen behind the wall of each house, at deep night.
