True..a thing of beauty they are not, but they make up for it in every way by being the greatest hiking shoes ever.

Last summer I bought some Keen sandals for everyone in our family in preparation for our big road trip, knowing we'd be doing a lot of hiking. Everyone loved them immediately except for our 15 year old daughter who was entirely to cool to wear such ugly shoes. After spending 2 days hearing about her sore feet from her regular shoes, we encouraged her to give them a try (actually we threatened to never buy her another pair of shoes for the remainder of her life :) She grew to love them, too!

The shoes are made by a company called Keen. I know you can get them at R.E.I or Eddie Bauer. They're worth the regular price, but made even better when you find them for 50% off :)
