By all means Rod, DO break the rules. One will never learn to expand there horizons (no pun intended) unless they break some rules and experiment..... I do it all the time :-)

Thanks Mark:-) I framed it like that to get the clouds in the sky & water looking similar. Plus artiiists break the rules:-)

Absolutely gorgeous scene you captured here, Rod. I'm surprised to see a middle of the frame horizon line.. if it were MY image, you'd be beating me over the head with a camera strap over that one little feature. LOL Markjay

Thanks all:-) No polariser Richard, I'm finding that some of the G2s shots have that look. Once I tried my old 30yr old polariser by just holding it in front of the lens & it just darkened one corner of the sky. Would that make you pay me $350 for it?:-)

Stunning capture... the light and composition. Just goes to prove that it's not the camera that matters...! :-)

Rod, this is my favourite of your submitted three because of the sense of tranquility. -Abstract

Rod, I love the compositional balance in this shot and sky and water reflection hues... Did you use a polarizer?... A great example of what the classic G2 can capture in the right hands... Doubt if a 20D would have done better... Hope your misses is not reading this:-), I know you want that dSLR!
P.S. - It gets 95%.... 100% with a nice frame ;-)

Thanks Brian I agree, & have in a knee jerk reaction changed it for this one. I only care about art not votes. So this one is more arty & dare I say more voter friendly..............If not I will change it again:-)

Of your three I prefer this one the least.. mostly because my eye wanders and isn’t drawn to one particular area within the photograph.
