I live here in Los Angeles, and pass by the city almost daily, but seldom do I have the pleasure of seeing the mountains in the background. It's nice when the smog blows away or is washed away by rain and we get to see them! Beautiful shot!

This is of course the most classic picture of Los Angeles.
One that frequently appears on Calendars and other classic
tourist materials.

Taken from the North East corner of the park

Very lovely shot of the skyline against those snowy hills.
With the right lens in wintertime, even San Diego has imagery like that
on some days.
One day (when I buy a nice long telephoto lens) maybe I'll capture one
like this, down here.

I'm curious... What focal length lens was used to capture this marvelous view? Also, can you pinpoint for me about WHERE exactly you shot this from within Kenneth Hahn Park? I'll be driving there for my first time soon, and would love to see the city from this exact spot. Thanks!

Gorgeous! City Hall still stands out. Where can I get a copy?

Looks like downtown Calgary, only the buildings are taller and the mountains are closer

What a wonderful photograph. Who knew? Los Angeles and snow!? Los Angeles and mountains?!?
(Ok, I know, because I live in Los Angeles, but I don't have a photograph of the city like this one).

thanks gary.. the view was breath taking coming over the hill and seeing the city with mount wilson in the background...a two hour drive can get you to the top of that mountain from downtown...

Excellent Lloyd, never had a sense that big snowy mountains were a backdrop.
